Canoeing & Kayaking
Marking the southern boundary of the park, the Big River is a great float stream in this part of the state. Two river access points, located within the picnic area, provide canoe launch points for floating or fishing. Motorized boats are not recommended in the Big River, due to it's shallow nature.
Swimming
The portion of the Big River that flows through the park is a great place to take a dip in the cool waters, or just to wade along the banks.
Fishing
The park offers over three miles of river access for fisherman to cast their lines into. Small-mouth bass and catfish are the most common fish caught. Many lengths of both the Big River and Coonville Creek can easily be waded, and have very accessible banks within the park.
